14 students went in search of ‘heaven’, experienced hell

My questions to you -

* Forget about losing your life. Do you have any idea of the magnitude of pain caused to a parent due to loss of a child?
Lara: I know the magnitude of pain caused to a parent due to the loss of a child… especially in accidents. I have seen mothers where the whole life tumbles down in a jiffy. Its not one life lost… its one loss and several lives taken away making their living a hell. My best friend Kathir committed suicide for a nonsensical reason. He was too young to make a sensible decision. He died at the age of 18 just a week after his birthday. It took eons to come out of it and it still hurts.

* Do you have any idea of the magnitude of pain caused to a parent when the child dies due to its own incautious behavior?
Yes, there is no comfort that can equal a loss.

* Is it safe to go out with a group of inexperienced students or friends to the wilderness?
I never advice this nor would try it. It is wilderness for heaven sake, even the most experienced face challenges each time they go. What will a bunch of inexperienced do?

* Is it safe to go out with a with CTC or any other trekking group to the wilderness?
The first and the only trek that I have taken so far assures its safe. Its not lead by one Member of the group. But everyone are ready to help. So it makes it easy to go on.

* Do more people die due to hostile wildlife (snakes, elephants…) or peaceful water on treks?
I read that in the past experiences there has been only one tragedy… I am not sure of the exact statistics.

* From where do those huge boulders (weighing several tons) in those peaceful mountain streams come from?
I absolutely have no clue. Is it rock avalanche… Very poor in Geography.

* Do you think CTC treks are safe for non-swimmers?
Any trek is safe as far as the person is self-conscious about what they are doing and know their limits.

* Do you think non-swimmers should jump into deep water pools and bet their life on the presence of a good swimmer?
I don’t jump into deep pools, but I saw other with the use of their life jackets and swim tubes jumping into deep pools. It definitely looked good in photos. But I don’t have the heart to try it. May be when I am confident about my swimming, I will try too.

* 1 (and only 1) person died on a CTC trek 2 years ago. Any guess why the non-swimmer who drowned could not be rescued by one of our best swimmers?
I absolutely have no clue. But I have heard some times water is so deceiving even the best swimmers struggle. Never understood how the water current works. My brother’s main hobby is fishing, so he does a lot of diving and have said about his underwater experiences.

* Is your life worth more then a 65Rs swimming tube?
Of-course no. To be frank I did not get my swimming tube for my first and only trek. Because I registered in the last minute and never trusted that I would get selected.

* Do you think CTC organizers and regular members behave responsibly in front of freshers in terms of safety?
I am a little in-experienced to answer this question. I haven’t been to enough treks to judge this.

* What do you think is the purpose of the non-disclaimer you sign at the start of a CTC trek?
I am responsible for my actions.

A deeply moving movie, I have watched after a long long time. I don’t know to sit at 2:00 AM in the morning and to watch a melodramatic romantic movie is insane was what I thought. But that is the only personal time I have my self right now apart from my career and baby care and family.
Hey remember that it’s not healthy to be sad all the time. Life holds more than to be melancholic. But this movie is an inspiration to write my secret blog after a very long time indeed. I still couldn’t forget how heart crushed and down I felt after watching “P.S. I love you”, or reading “Gone with the wind”. I take things too personal I believe. I totally understand why I should go through all this. I am so in love with him, the only man I love so much and never had the courage to tell him I love him so much. Sometimes I feel really shy and message him my feelings. He is not an expressive person… but you know what a girl expect! Well I am never reciprocated. He is not a netizan so I will be quite surprised, if he ever gets to read it.
Faced a lot of losses in life which makes me really unsecure when it comes to express love relationships, so I guess I fulfill my exaggerated emotions by watching a lot of romantic movies. It all started when I was very young, when I thought love is too tough to be found in real life, i.e. the fairy tale love that is shown in movies. I know why I am obsessive over fairy tale endings, because I have never seen it happen in real life.
Men, boy , guy , grumpy old men, middle-aged dogs all think the same way, as Gerald says in “The Ugly Truth”, men are only behind lust. What else could you expect from a living organism who has a million year of heritage in hunting and baby making? So I don’t blame them. It should be understood. There are two types of women, one who understands that M cannot be expressive and the other type who wait a lifetime hoping that some day they will be expressive.
Why I like these romantic heroes in particular “Gerald Butler”, “Jeffrey Dean Morgan”, “Prabhas” – in varsham and Surya – in nenje nenje song. Why especially these celebrities, well with all the tall and hunky look they all remind me of my special person. All the time listening to songs with beautiful lyrics of love, be it any language I still brood over it. Until I get tired and move on to the next new one. If there was a song to ask him what I want it would be

Ours was a love marriage. I fell crazily in love with him… Wanted to show off… impressed him, fought badly with my parents, and still fighting… But my hope keeps me going. My love for him will keep me going. Yes we fight whenever we meet as in “P.S I love you” but when I am away from him I just feel how she feels for her lost Gerry.

Obsessed with books and reading

Last week I happened to browse amazon.com. I dont know how I reached there… but after browing through a few pages I realized how much I missed reading.
I became so obsessed and though it was a month end and the money was running lean… I borrowed some from my boss, and I went right to the bookshop. In spite of the heavy rain, with meenakshi’s (my humble colleague) help we indentified a decent book shop. The authors I had in mind were:
Robin Cook
Frederick Forsyth
Danielle Steel

And above all Clive Cussler, being involved in archaeology lately has driven a passion towards his books. I read that most of his expeditions he has converted them to novels. But I couldn’t get any of Clive cussler’s. But the book shopkeeper Rafi was nice and has given his contact number to leave a message for more books on demand availabilities.
But after some quick brooding I bought
Robin Cook – Foreign body, Vector
Frederick Forsyth – The Negotiator, The Odessa File
The Odessa File (The Odessa File is a thriller by Frederick Forsyth, first published in 1972, about the adventures of a young German reporter attempting to discover the location of a former SS concentration-camp commander.)
Stephen King’s – The Eyes of the Dragon
I love Fiction, Sci-Fi and Fantasy so the five books precisely gives a through blend of all the above.

If I am not writing this post now, I wont be able to write it any more. I am getting old to write such topics. I have a lil princess now and I dont want her to question me, so its time to look at life with more responsibility rather than having a crush on a movie or a pop star.

Who was my first crush?

Would you believe it. Even if the world forgets Peter Andre – no one could ever forget his Mysterious Girl, the famous pop songs of 1990′s. I was in my ninth standard at that time, getting introduced to the world slowly, new friends bigger exposure. Pop songs. The most famous songs of 1990, every Indian girl of my age that time would have owned that playlist.

These are the only songs I knew, and knowing a english song is a big deal in my school days. Everyone thinks you are a Pista ( a slang to mention that you are big shots)

Watching a guy with six pack those days was like – Ohhh la la la. Never seen such a physique among Indian celebrities those days. That was my first best impression what Petre Andre had to offer apart from his Mysterious girl song. I am proud to be his fan. Yeah the crush part, God has given me this crazy character, which I am still desperate to change. I dont get a crush on someone easily but if I get so, God that’s it end of world. I keep talking about them, relate all the events to them, keep praising them when ever I get or dont get an opportunity. People call me crazy begger for these reasons. But I dont mind. I still have a soft sweet corner of my heart for his song and six pack.

Who is my recent crush.

Being short could be one particular reason why I like tall men. That is the main reason why I have a crush on this Hero Prabhas. More than that he has a charming smile. Varsham was the first movie I watched in his castings. Its love at first sight. I never understood the language… But it turned out to be that, even if he is not acting, I still like him

And the last person to fall in that list currently… I couldnt belive I am saying this name…. Its Salman khan. I never liked him till last month when I watched Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. I always found his acting a lil exaggerating or artificial. Though he is officially the first Indian actor to get a six pack which didnt impress me much then, But now he is like a sweet heart. May be I like Salman because of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie and the lovable songs or may be he is the most controversial actor of Indian cinema.

You may ask is it so important… that the internet should know that I had crushes on these ppl. But this is my blog and I have the right to speak my mind aloud. Still you read it

A very powerful song

A very powerful song when heard, it uses a lot of native religios musical intruments, eg: udukkai. Its an elevating feeling when you hear this song.

Music is simply brilliant and the way the song is sung, is so loud and clear. I dedicate this song to my sole deity Lord Shiva.
