Gruntz - what a lovely light hearted game

What a lovely game. My brother and I used to play it when we were young, that is when we got our first computer at home. That was quite some time. We were so excited about computer and especially Internet.

Our hobby was to download some trial game and play it. And we came across this GRUNTZ game. It was only a trial version, we have been just enjoying, it was super cool. It was a game filled with puzzles and stategy. Each lever our goal was to retrieve the pieces of a warp stone.

 Warp stone from Gruntz game

Gruntz are small unshaped funny figures, like these:Gruntz Warriors

. The brownies are the good ones and other colored gruntz usually are the bad guys.

You have instructions all around to help you understand when we come across something new, like a book with exclamatory rotating. Most of the time the intructions are hilarious apart from being informative. Gruntz Instructions Icon

You get to use some supercool toolz, toys and my favourite are (wingz, boomerang, magic spell).

Few suprises that I enjoyed, one of them is the spot light. You have a light rotating above you. If the light spots you, it will ask you to sing, and when it finds out you cannot sing it opens a hole beneath you and you get to die. Check out here a Gruntz being spotted by a spot light.

And the other surprise is the time bombz… The first time when we had this in the game the instructions read “Be careful while breaking tiles. Watch out for timebombz. What do you do? RUN!!!” :) I just enjoyed it.

Sometimes I get started when I see Zap Cola (gives you strength when you drink it), because both time bombz and zap colas are of the same red and black color. My instinct says run when I see the combination of those colors. :) After running a while I realize its not the time bomb its just a zap cola.

The best part is I am yet to complete this game.

Judith McNaught

Judith McNaught lives in Houston and is New York Times best selling author. I got to read her book Perfect recently when my friend offered me.

I am an ardent fan of Sydney Sheldon, Robin Cook and a few others. So if it’s other than these authors I need a really push to get convinced to read the book. But I also get easily convinced as reading is my passion.

When I started reading perfect, the first 100 pages literally put me to sleep. The story starts with an introduction of our Hero Zachary Benedict and our humble female lead Julie Mathison. I was using it as my sleeping pill and a pillow until I reached the 126th. Then it was a massive twist, I started loving it… It became really very well… It was all about two grown people sharing love in the most unexpected situation.

Zachary Benedict is a famous director, and is presently convicted for murder of his wife and is in Jail. Julie Mathison is a near to perfect school teacher with a normal calm life. Zachary plans to escape the Jail when pushed to heights from 5 years jail life to a rich and luxurious director. Julie Mathison grows up in streets and later gets adopted by a good family, who give her all the love she ever needed to make her life perfect. Zachary escape plans are ruined by a few unplanned twists and he is forced to take Julie Mathison as his host. At first she plans a lot of escapes from Zachary Benedict and sees him as an evil man. As they stay together and get to spend more time, they start falling in love with each other without their knowledge. When time arrives where Julie had to leave Zack for both of their good, they couldn’t hold on to the greif that was caused by their separation. Julie returns home and is swarmed by Police and Zack still in his hide out. When they miss each other so much they finally decide to get married. Unfotunate events take place and Julie is portrayed against Zack by a few events. They seemed to have been separated for ever. In the mean time the true killer of Zack’s wife is found out and he is free.

What finally makes them come together is really wonderful. Though it’s a little too fantastical, I am ok with it.

Reading and enjoying these two opposite poles fall in love in the most unpleasant and unexpected events it just adds too much pep to the story. After a reaching more than 200 pages, it kept me awake nights together, I just Couldn’t keep the book down. Started crying, loving and laughing with the story.

“God Must Have spent a little more time on you” - by N’Sync ( A few lines)
Written By - Sturken, C; Rogers, E
Can this be true. Can this be real. How can I put into words what I feel. My life was complete. I thought I was born. Why do I feel like I am losing control. Never thought that love could feel like this. And you change my world with just one Kiss.

When I look in to your eyes I know that its true. “God must have spent a little more time on you”.

Because You Loved Me - By Celine Dion ( a few lines)
Written By - Diane Eve Warren

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth you made me see
For all the joy you brang to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I ‘ll be forever thank ful baby
You are the one who held me up
Never let me fall, You are the one who saw me through.

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldnt speak
You were my eyes when I couldnt see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldnt reach
You gave me faith as you believe.

“I am every thing I am because you loved me”

“I was blessed because I was loved by you”

1. Karate begins and ends with courtesy. So be courteous to seniors, juniors and elders and to friends and foes.
2. We must sweep from our mind all egocentric and preoccupying thoughts during practice
3. Concentrate on all movements with maximum vigor.
4. When this is done Karate ultimately produces in the individual a vital concentration of energy that expands to heroic proportions in times of crisis.
5. Karate requires harmony between breath and action.
6. We must learn to adjust our breathing until we reach the point where each breath coincides with each of the movement during practice.
7. Kata requires a perfect finish at the end of each kata performance.
8. Each kata practice must be completed with full mind and maximum power.
9. One must begin or end practice by bowing with decorum

India and History channel

I love watching History channel, my most favorite TV channel. I have learnt a lot of mysteries from our past by many programs broadcasted by the channel. I would name it “My knowledge booster”. But one thing that worries me is why there aren’t programs that talk about Hindu mythology. We have so much to say from our History and mythology.
In fact every other religion in the world namely Christianity or Muslim, they believe in one God, and have one sacred book. But when it comes to Hinduism we have millions of Gods, and each of them have their own set of sacred books or temples. We have a huge past to talk about. Our mythological stories are in numerous. When they talk about Doomsday or science in history its most of the time Mayan Civilization or the Egyptian civilization Why not ours? If at all I am given a carrier with the channel and is allowed to dig our past, I would be come the luckiest on earth.
I watched in numerous videos on ancient aliens and UFO’s. But there is strikingly too much of similarity that is being said by other civilizations and that has existed in Hindu mythology. UFO’s from other civilizations sources from a drawing of a flying object on their walls or winged gods or abductions. But my God would you believe it.
This has been happening day in and day out in our Hindu mythology. We have winged Gods, and every God is associated with a vehicle. The vehicle is either an animal or a flying object. Even in Ramayana there is a mention about the “Pushpaga Vimanam” or otherwise known as a flying saucer.

It is believed that every saint or sage who attains purity is said to be abducted by God. Or in other civilizations it is mentioned as communication with supreme beings.

Why I like dasavatharam?

It is always his attitude towards life that keeps me in immense astonishment. Recently I watched one of his interviews and was so impressed with a few words of what he said. He achieved that attitude from some great director I believe. I don’t remember his name.
The question was “How is he able to deliver some extraordinary movies like dasavatharam”. He simply replied with a smile, “You have to think that the movie that we are currently working on is the last chance we have got to perform as death may come right after this movie”. For a second I felt goose bumps.

I liked dasavatharam his latest movie for so many reasons. I could also exactly predict why they did not like it or most of the people start criticizing it. The reason could only be one. Most of the people didn’t understand the concept behind it. Most of us would not have come across Chaos theory or Butterfly Effect. We would have never read about our history which had happened somewhere in 6th or 8th century BC. But I got impressed from the initial 15 minutes where we see a huge set of 8th century and a possible happened incident that had happened during that time. There is so much said in that few hours you could not easily understand the whole.
I was so excited when Mr. Kamal said that they are planning to release a book on Dasavatharam (explaining the loose ends), or what people say that they did not understand. I am not trying to say that I understood the movie completely. But I was astonished to see so much shown in a tamil movie. It is definitely a new venture for Kollywood.
Every single detail had been taken care of. I was even more excited that his next venture would be a complete movie which is based on the first 15 minutes of Dasavatharam, for a history loving person like me. It is definitely a huge treat. I believe it will be called “Marma Yogi”. I am not sure about the name but.

CAN YOU CHANGE?

CAN YOU CHANGE?
To change is easy. It begins with being a better listener. It is about knowing that change is inevitable and learning to grow from experiences. To change in one’s workplace can be an interesting and positive process - it can bring people together as they share their experiences and become stronger in their journey to become better performers, says Upasna Pandey

Change at workplace can bring out mixed reactions from different people. It can be a radical reaction or emotional outburst or simple recognition of the fact that change is inevitable. It is critical how one chooses to respond to change - the choice is between exploiting change as an opportunity to achieve higher goals or to be pushed two steps backwards on the corporate ladder.
Let us look at the various facets of change and how it can be dealt by employees to get the best out of a situation.

Understand the Problem
When an individual or an organization focuses the change effort on the wrong target, the effort is doomed from the start. It is critical to know what is your individual problem and not simply look at way of changing things because it is working well for someone else.
Before beginning to invest in time, money and energy, of your company and your team, get some help in order to diagnose and understand the problem.

Know Why It Is Important to Change
Once you have identified your core problems, it is essential to understand why it is important to change. Many change efforts fizzle out because the person or organization loses interest or focus on the change being made. The individual or organization needs to have thorough understanding of how they will benefit from the change and why it is a top priority to follow through.

Identify The Obstacles
Any individual seeking to change work processes must recognise all the factors that stand in the way of changing the ways of doing things. Some of the obstacles that can interfere with organizational or personal change efforts are -
Old habits of thought and behavior, time, lack of shared commitment, budgets, family conflicts, lack of support, organizational culture, inertia, etc.

Develop The Plan For Action
To achieve a successful change, it is vital that a detailed plan of action is drafted before one gets started. This plan must include specific action steps, the timing of the steps, who is to be involved, the mechanism for acquiring feedback and a standard for measuring success. These plans must be open to revision.

Get Feedback And Refine The Plan
Collection of feedback is the next important step to ensure change is on track. Simply changing behaviour is not the end of the successful change process. Peak performers usually focus on collecting feedback to monitor the impact of their changes in their specific environment. Even if preset goals are achieved, it is vital to find out if the change produced the desired result. It is important to get your feedback, review it, determine your level of success, refine your strategy and start again.

Now let us study some simple ways to handle change at the workplace and survive amalgamations, mergers etc in one’s organisation:

Expect Change
Knowing that change is inevitable is also about being always ready for it.
You will be able to handle changes as they come if you anticipate that things are bound to change. Keep in mind that things constantly change, nothing stays the same over long periods of time, and that the first step for you to surviving change is anticipating it.

Being A Positive Thinker
Individuals who are essentially optimistic are able to handle change better than those who are driven by negative thinking. It is important to avoid focusing on the negative aspects of any change occurring at the workplace - it just besets one with insecurities, fears and doubts. These things can greatly hinder one’s ability to cope with and positively adapt with change.

Keep An Open Mind
It is vital to keep an open mind when handling change and even more critical to stay positive in one’s approach. Try to see the benefits or the “good side” of these changes. Don’t let fear, doubt, irrational thoughts and anxiety stop you from having an open mind and a rational outlook.

Keep Your Thumb On Changes
When organizations change their work process, many employees are surprised because they are clueless about the upcoming developments.
Sometimes change can come abruptly, but more often, it occurs over a long period of time. When it does, maintain your perspective and try to think of ways on how you can cope with and adapt with these changes.

Be An Active Participant
Learn to be in charge when facing change in the office. Don’t be a passive participant in the changes that are happening in and around you. Work with the changes happening, not against it.

Learn To Adapt to changes
One must also learn that changes that occur in the workplace are also affecting others around them. You are not isolated in your experience, so share your learnings and never stop or hinder people around you from changing or moving on because of a change. Accept the change and adapt with it. Change happens for a reason and the more quickly you are able to adapt and move on, the higher your productivity at work.

Learn To Enjoy Life
Don’t let change at workplace change the way you live your life. Learn to enjoy life and grow with changes. Maintain a positive outlook about life.

Encourage Co-workers
An interesting way to deal with change is by helping and encouraging other people who may be undergoing the same change you are going through.
Look ahead and be prepared for more changes: It’s true that the only thing constant in the world is change. One can expect change to occur every minute and the best way to face up to change is to be prepared for it and make the best out of it.

It is important for team leaders and managers to identify the best ways of helping employees cope and adapt to make the best use of a change.

The Holocaust - Deliberate Extermination programme

Though I don’t have much courage to talk about such things. I couldnt stop my self writing about it also. Holocaust otherwise termed as Genocide, is mass murder campaigns with an intention to abolish a sect or tribal/public/spiritual group.

“Final Solution of the Jewish Question”
Is what the Nazi’s termed for their quest. During World war II, around 9 to 10 million Jews were killed by the Nazi’s. The first to die where the youngest, eldest and the sickest. They were dumped into huge pits and were buried or burnt, irrespective of whether they are alive or dead. Thousands of Jews were taken to concentration camps and were killed in various ways.

a) Locked down in Gas chambers and were let to die.
b) Used for failed medical experimentations
c) Random killing (Its believed that cops would bet with each other to find out who could kill the most number of jews)
d) Left to starve.

Before World War II the estimated population of Jews were 9 Million and after World war II there was a tragic dminition with only 2.5 million people left.
Each time I read about Holocausts in the internet, my hands start trembling and tears start tearing down. War could do even worse effects, and leave an unimaginable scar on our lives.

Apart from the natural disasters that would lead us to the end of days. War is another major disaster that is predicted to lead us to the Doomsday.

One Happy life. lets live and let others live.

What is Doomsday 2012

Mayan calendar

It is believed by most of us that the World would end on December 21st 2012. We call this as the Doomsday or the End of Days. It is predicted in the Mayan calendar. Mayan Civilation are obsessed with time and are very particular about it. They have a precisely marked calendar which could and has predicted solar eclipses thousands of year in the future. Still today Mayan calendar is considered to be the most accurate or all ancient times. Yet the mayan calendar ends on one particular day which is December 21st 2012. There are many other predictions on this Doomsday. They say that there will be earth quakes shattering the world, will be huge waves that would devour the coastal areas, huge balls of fire would come racing towards earth. Atleast half of the would be banished.

We are facing a lot of this crisis already. We see a constant change in climatic conditions of the world due to Global warming. Our natural resources are dwindling.

Yet time is the only answer to the End of Days. Whether it will be really a Doomsday or we still get to live.
